Portfolio Acquisition Executive - Marine Corps

equipping Our warfighters

On November 7, 2025, the Secretary of War directed the transformation to a Warfighting Acquisition System to improve accountability and accelerate the fielding of urgently needed capabilities to the warfighter. A key component of this initiative is the transition to a new organizational model of Portfolio Acquisition Executives (PAEs) that empowers a single leader with cradle-to-grave responsibility for delivering a defined mission capability. This structure aligns the critical functions and personnel (e.g. technical, contracting, and sustainment) into the acquisition chain of command to ensure responsiveness to deliver the capability the warfighters need at speed.

In response to this directive, on April 10, 2026, the Department of the Navy and Marine Corps combined Marine Corps ground systems programs and acquisition support functions from PEO Land Systems and Marine Corps Systems Command into one organization: PAE Marine Corps.
