Autonomy & Robotics
Maritime USVs:
SHARC USV: Expand mission sets (ASW, precision/long-range fires, mine layering, EW, C4ISR, CASEVAC, contested logistics, beaching/breaching).
Heavy Lift USV: Develop optionally manned, attritable USVs capable of transporting large payloads (30k lbs) with ranges over 1,000 nm, speeds >20 knots, and low signatures to support amphibious landings.
Ground UGVs & Appliques: Develop autonomy appliques for rapid integration with existing vehicles (e.g., ULTV) and semi-autonomous/assisted driving technology for challenging environments (e.g., assisting ACVs in the surf zone).
Autonomous Breaching & Engineering: Replace the legacy MICLIC with autonomous clearance/neutralization systems for land, Surf Zone (SZ), and Very Shallow Water. Develop lightweight, autonomous expeditionary construction and material handling systems.
Policy Shift: Transition toward "Man-On-the-Loop" rather than "Man-In-the-Loop" for autonomous prosecution to scale capabilities without requiring a proportional increase in end-users.
