Assured PNT: Prioritize non-GPS Alternate PNT (Project Cygnus) and advanced timing architectures (Tactical Oscillators, Miniature Atomic Clocks, Optical Clocks).
Modular Open Systems: Adopt CMOSS chassis for modular, plug-and-play insertion of capabilities (EW, Comms, PNT). Transition toward EW software specialty apps run on standard hardware rather than vendor-locked physical solutions.
Communications: Develop LPI/LPD/LPG/LPE tactical data/voice networks, Extended Range Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) non-SATCOM transmission systems, and improved underwater communications for SZ/VSW operations.
Critical Subsystem Shielding: Harden vital components (motors, generators, batteries) against directed energy and cyber threats. Develop wide-bandwidth EW/EA with reduced EM signatures.
